Metro Transit wins System of the Year – Come Celebrate!

Metro Transit will celebrate its recent System of the Year honor with customers and employees at a appreciation event at Target Field Station on Saturday, Sept. 24. Activities will begin at 3 p.m. at the Target Field Station amphitheater until 5:30.
Continue the fun through that night’s Twins game (6:10 p.m. vs. Mariners). Special discounted tickets to that night’s game are available to customers through the Twins website.
Scheduled events:
- 3 p.m. Live music by Metro Transit rail operator Karl Obermeyer and his band The Capitol Sons
- 4 p.m. Short program featuring Metro Transit General Manager Brian Lamb
- 5 p.m. Live music by Metro Transit’s Director of Safety Mike Conlon and his band All Jammed Up
Guests can visit 10 interactive booths staffed by Metro Transit employees, including the Transit Police department featuring a K9 Unit; a marketing table where there will be a chance to win prizes; HR representatives to answer questions about hiring at Metro Transit, a face painting station; representatives from the Southwest Light Rail Project Office; a history of transportation table and more! Plus, don’t miss out on your chance to get a photo with Metro Transit’s mascot, Skip Traffic! Northstar tours will also be offered.
