I founded a nonprofit Lovely’s Sewing & Arts Collective where I teach young boys and girls 6-16 how to sew  yoga  and financial literacy and money  management. The event features a family and dog-friendly fun run/walk\, river cleanup\, and Earth Day festivities to protect pollinators and their habitat. Photo ops will include a bee-themed selfie station\, notable appearances\, and mascots. Bee and pollinator themed costumes are highly encouraged! All are encouraged to participate in the event to help save our bees and other pollinators. \nRusty-patched bumble bee“Great River Coalition is working to expand the habitat for our pollinators\,” said Board President Diane Hofstede. “If you walk along our Minneapolis riverfront\, or travel around the state\, you’ll see the limited food resources that sustain our pollinators as they travel along the Mississippi River. The erosion created by the lack of grasslands contributes to soil and water pollution\, and encourages invasive species. The Rusty-patched bumble bee\, Minnesota’s state bumble bee\, is now listed as critically endangered. Through a community-centered approach\, the committee works closely with city and local partners to connect the North Loop neighborhood residents and businesses to current and upcoming public space developments through discussion\, engagement\, and volunteerism. \nMeetings are held from 6-7:30pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. \nNew Location: TractorWorks’ Washington Gallery at 800 N Washington Avenue. \nOur many thanks to TractorWorks for providing this meeting space to NLNA for our monthly Parks+Placemaking meetings. \n \n\n\n\n\nGoogle Meet Link Available For Remote Participation \n\n\n\n\n\nAll meetings of the board and any committees are open to any Member of the board\, and to all general Members. \n\n“Please note that the TractorWorks building is accessible without a building fob until 6 PM on weekdays\, and we encourage attendees to arrive before this time as they are able. For those arriving after 6 PM who will require assistance\, please call our 24/7 security at 612-910-9439 and they will be happy to let you into the building if you mention you have arrived for the NLNA meeting. Parking at the attached garage is available at hourly rates (payable by credit card) and can be accessed from 10th Avenue. Access to the building via the parking garage is available on the 2nd level of the garage through the attached skyway\, which features the same hours as the street-level entrances.”
