DESCRIPTION:Playfulness\, experimentation and judgement are the principles behind my art.  I begin all work whimsically not knowing exactly how it will look in the end.  I experiment to make the visual relationships taut and constantly judge if formal artistic elements are resolving themselves into lasting relationships.  It is difficult to make abstract art\, because\, as I see it\, there are no–nor should there be–rules for how to create.  I love to see something I have completed.  But\, it is the process in reconciling the relationships between line\, mass\, color\, value and subject that most intrigue me. \n My imagery is drawn from remembered experiences.  I complete work in my studio relying on memories of places and events. \n\nJon’s work has been placed in the following museums: Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art\, St. Joseph\, MO • DuPage Children’s Museum\, Wheaton\, IL • Ellen Noel Museum of the Permian Basin\, Odessa\, TX • El Paso Museum of Art\, El Paso\, TX. He has a MFA University of Minnesota\, an MA University of Minnesota\, and BA Elmhurst College\, IL.

Inspired by the groovy attitude of Bill Nershi—lead guitarist for the band String Cheese Incident—the friends created a Spotify playlist festival featuring “sets” from streaming artists on their back yard stage. Thus\, Nershfest was born. \nEventually the festival grew from the friends’ back yard to the brewery\, adding live bands to the streaming lineup. Inbound is proud to host the 10th annual Nershfest at our taproom. Musical performances will feature local bands on the outdoor stage plus streaming artists—a Nershfest tradition we’d never let die—on the indoor stage. \nLIVE BANDS INCLUDE:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGeneral B Superjam\nGeneral B and the Wiz is made up of a few really nice jazz boys who are into some really weird\, yet wholesome\, stuff. The band connects with you\, specifically\, by writing songs from the heart and putting on high-energy performances that will melt your face and tickle your senses from the inside out. As collaborative songwriters\, General B and the Wiz delivers high-energy music that will keep you laughing\, dancing\, and rocking to your heart’s content until you eventually die someday. \nMae Simpson\nThe Mae Simpson Band is a band with a focus on creating music that seamlessly explores a huge range of styles. Some bands are quite stuck into their own definitions. However\, others are actually keen on setting the bar higher and looking for new creative ideas. The band’s music is soulful\, warm and passionate\, known for their raw and powerful energy\, the band leaves it all on the stage. \nBarbaro\nBarbaro’s musical vision explores their collective life experiences through intricate instrumentation\, creatively bending traditional music into a style that is all their own. The Minneapolis-Winona based rising stars have created their eclectic sound through original songwriting craft\, with inspiration derived from bluegrass\, jazz and chamber music. Their new album\, Dressed in Roses\, released January 2020\, “Stands as a true testament to their musical identity and the sound that has launched one of the Midwest’s most in-demand acoustic acts.” \nPurple Funk Metropolis\nPurple Funk Metropolis is a charismatic seven-piece instrumental band with a raw sound inspired by soul\, jazz\, funk\, and more. Whether in a Como basement or a downtown dive bar\, PFM’s energy notoriously gets the whole room dancing. Their new album The Golden Goose is out now. \nShotgun Ragtime Band\nAND YOU KNOW THERE WILL BE BEER:\nYou can purchase beer inside the taproom as well as at outdoor beer tents. And we have a terrific Salvation Army Thrift Store and Donation Center right here in the North Loop! We’re sponsoring a  donation drive for The Salvation Army from 10am-2pm  \nDrive right up at 900 N 4th St. and the staff will be happy to assist. \nWhen you donate goods to The Salvation Army\, items are then sold at the Thrift Stores. And the proceeds are used to fund their Adult Rehabilitation Centers\, where those struggling with drugs and alcohol find help\, hope\, and a second chance at life.

DESCRIPTION:We first brought something new to the North Loop neighborhood when we opened the doors to our urban winery\, and the excitement of our community members made us want to offer an unforgettable experience\, all over again.  We held our inaugural Grape Stomp in 2021 and are excited to bring it back again for 2022\, allowing fellow Minnesota wine lovers to be a part of one of the most iconic steps in wine-making\, right in Minneapolis. The competition was fierce\, the wine was flowing\, and the experience was unforgettable. Though this practice began with the ancient Romans\, we’re making sure that it never goes out of style. \n\nRegistration\nSpots are filling up fast\, so reserve your team’s spot now!\n$50 per team includes…\n– Reservations to compete in the stomp competition\n– Two glasses of wine\n– Two t-shirts! \nSpots are filling up fast so reserve your team’s spot now!\n\n\nTickets include\n\nReservations to compete in the stomp competition\, two glasses of wine\, and two t-shirts! \n\nWhat is a grape stomp?\nA grape stomp is a fun way to get friends and family together for a juicy competition. Individuals will sign up in teams of two and then go head to head with another team to see who can create the most juice from grape stomping in the barrel! There will be multiple heats with prizes! \n\nWhen is it?\nSeptember 17th and 18th 12-5pm\n\nWhy it’s going to be great!\nThis is an annual event and it’s always a huge party! With DJ’s\, food trucks\, great specials\, and games\, our grape stomp is a unique and fun event.
