This incredibly fun and informative class gives students an introduction to paper making and an understanding of the various plant fibers and pulps used to make paper. Participants will learn how paper is transformed from fiber into pulp by touring one of MCBA’s Paper Beater Rooms. Everyone will then pull sheets of paper and use pigmented pulp to apply designs and patterns onto the still wet pages. Scouts will take home their very own handmade paper!
