SUMMARY:Traffic Zone Gallery presents Opening Night: The Conversation
DESCRIPTION:Public Reception with Nancy Heller\, the artist\n7:00 pm Brief talk by the artist \nTraffic Zone Gallery presents Opening Night: The Conversation\, an exhibition of paintings by Bonnie Heller. Most artists make art because they have to – there is a physical\, psychological urge to do so.  Many artists feel more complete when engaged in art making. Second to that is the desire to engage the “audience\,” to share our worldview with them and to hear their responses. That conversation is a special part of the process. We welcome and celebrate those who view\, question\, learn and enjoy the art. This exhibition is dedicated to that audience. Opening Night: The Conversation honors those who are curious about the art world and each other. An opening night provides conversations\, curiosity satisfied or excited\, involvement with the art community\, time to socialize and visit and finally the opportunity to partner with the artist in the magic world of art making. \nTraffic Zone Center for Visual Art Mission \nTraffic Zone Center for Visual Art supports the work of mid-career professional artists with high-quality\, affordable studios and the engagement of audiences with gallery exhibitions\, open studio events\, art classes and workshops. \nExhibit will be shown October 27\, through December 2\, 2016\nMonday – Friday\, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and by appointment \n

SUMMARY:streets.mn 2016 Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:by Nicole Mardell on November 16\, 2016 in Events\, Hooray Hooray\, streets.mn \n\nHello streets.mn community and friends! \nSince our humble beginnings in 2012\, we’ve grown into an organization with over a hundred writers and thousands of readers across the state\, region\, and nation. Our mission has been to expand the conversation on land use and transportation issues in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota\, and we hope we’ve done a pretty good job. \nWill you help support our continued mission? \nWe are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with servers and a current web redesign\, that needs your support. Come show us your support and your (great) ideas at the streets.mn fundraiser next month\, on Thursday\, December 1 at 5:30 PM in the garden room of River Towers Condominiums. \nWe’ll have a few mystery guests and a 50/50 raffle\, so you could even make some money! Light appetizers and drinks will be served. \nGet your tickets here!
