Stay in the Loop

North Loop Neighborhood Association (NLNA) Public Hearing

At our regular board meeting on August 30th, NLNA passed a motion to consider the reallocation of NRP (Neighborhood Revitalization Program) and  CPP (Community Participation Program) funds to support greening projects throughout the North Loop. This would include planting trees and flowers along the 800 and 900 blocks of North Washington Ave., and a large planting project at the intersection of I-394 and Washington Ave. Neighborhood beautification and greening has been identified as a priority for the North Loop.

  • Utilize NRP Phase II Parks, Green Space and Community Gathering Place NRP 2.1.1.2, 2.1.1.3 and 2.1.1.5 for the Greening project: $7,348.
  • Reallocate Commercial Development and Business 3.1.1.1 and 3.1.3.1 to the Greening project: $14,695.
  • Allocate CPP reserve funds to the Greening project: $5,957.

Total reallocated: $28,000

The NLNA will hold a public hearing at its September 27th board meeting to take neighborhood comments and vote on the reallocation of funds as described in this notice. There will be a presentation of the Greening projects at the meeting.
