DESCRIPTION:Meet the three Art Leadership Program Artists-in-Residence at the Artists Reception at Gallery One\, Gallery Nine\, and Art Lab 111 \nWe ask you to kindly wear a mask \nRobert Patrick is showing recent paintings in Gallery One entitled = SURFACE TENSION =. Patrick’s visual making practice consists of drawing in paint on custom canvas tarpaulins. Central to his method is achieving a balance between the intimate and the monumental. He considers these large-scale paintings moving tapestries. \n“Nature Reclaims” displays Ingrid Restemayer’s mixed-media artwork in Gallery Nine. Her artworks are intimate portraits of fish\, birds and other animals\, in combination with steady\, meditative hand-stitching. \nRonald Ridgeway is the Curator/Founder of the Art Leadership Program. Ridgeway is exhibiting his Works in Progress in Art Lab 111. Also see his work in the permanent collection of the building. Ridgeway’s conceptual\, site-specific art installations are created in various media. Notable is his rendering of the TractorWorks’ integrated way-finding system by means of contemporary art.

DESCRIPTION:Meet the artists and enjoy the photography by @steveozonephoto and the abstract and contemporary paintings by @jodireebartist.\n\n\nThe Nature of Things by Jodi Reeb\nReeb creates mixed-media paintings using photographs of pollinator-friendly plants taken “from the bee’s perspective”. These paintings are created using Encaustic paint\, (molten beeswax\, pigment and resin) oil pigment stick and photographic images printed on tissue paper as collage. This is a new direction for Reeb combining encaustic painting to create mixed-media works that have the luminosity of beeswax while maintaining the graphic nature of photography.\n\n\nNo Claim: Assimilation\, Integration and Adaptation by Steve Ozone\nOzone’s photographs are his means of exploring immigration and family history and while the subjects may seem odd to the majority of the people in the United States\, he’s come to realize food tells the true story of assimilation and integration.
