The Midtown Global Market, along with many Lake Street businesses need your support to rebuild and heal our neighborhood. All donations will go directly to help repair the damage and help rebuild our small businesses throughout our community. Midtown Global Market is an economic and cultural center and home to 45 small businesses representing 16 cultures, ethnicities, or countries of origin.
MIGIZI acts as a circle of support that nurtures the development of Native American youth in order to unleash their creativity and dreams – to benefit themselves, their families and community. Their building was damaged in the fires and they need support to help them rebuild!
The Minneapolis Foundation will deploy $500,000 from its Fund for Safe Communities to support the people of Minneapolis as they strive for justice, equity and healing in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in police custody. The Foundation is committed to honoring community voices and expertise and supporting a broad spectrum of strategies and approaches to make Minneapolis neighborhoods safer. They are accepting donations.
Minneapolis Mutual Aid Autonomous Zone Coordination
Facebook group focused on taking care of residents in the south side of the city. People on Facebook can join the group, where many have provided donations to those in need.
NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center
NorthPoint is raising funds to provide emergency food support, rental and utility assistance, employment counseling, family stability service, mental health support and more in North Minneapolis.
West Broadway Business and Area Coalition (WBC)
WBC in partnership with Northside Funders Group will direct all donations to support Northside businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 and the recent uprising. WBC supports local business owners and businesses as a resource to connect technical assistance providers, offer financial resources through a partnership with the City of Minneapolis, advocate for businesses along the West Broadway Corridor, and connect business owners to develop stronger networks in North Minneapolis.
Official George Floyd Memorial Fund
This fund is established to cover funeral and burial expenses, mental and grief counseling, lodging and travel for all court proceedings, and to assist our family in the days to come as we continue to seek justice for George. A portion of these funds will also go to the Estate of George Floyd for the benefit and care of his children and their educational fund.
Located in North Minneapolis this organization co-creates enduring change toward a just society. Built with and for the people they serve, the organization’s united system of programs, neighborhood centers, and social enterprises empowers individuals and families across the region to own their future on their own terms.
The Association for Black Economic Power (ABEP) is partnering with Pimento to provide black business without insurance relief after white supremacists set them on fire during the protests. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 to help these businesses recover from the damages done.
This Go Fund Me campaign is collecting donations for support families directly affected by the destruction. The fund is headquartered at St Albert the Great parish, under the direction of Fr. Joseph Gillespie. Located in the heart of the Longfellow neighborhood and within blocks of the center of the recent destruction.
Donations to Second Harvest Heartland will be used to provide food and other necessary products to families who no longer have access to the stores or funds they need. If donations exceed what is required for this purpose, they will be used to fund general food assistance needs for local families struggling with hunger.
A community service group on Facebook, are working to help neighborhoods and small businesses affected by the recent events. They also accept donations to the Emergency Food Fund. The Lake Street Council will donate 100% of funds to help rebuild Lake Street, starting with direct support to small businesses and nonprofits to help them rebuild their storefronts, reopen their businesses and serve our neighborhoods.

YWCA Minneapolis’ Midtown location, located in the heart of the area where George Floyd was murdered and the scene of current protests, alongside YWCA St. Paul have served the Twin Cities community for over 100 years. We stand together with the people that we serve and our community stakeholders to eliminate racism and empower women.
