New Bar/Restaurant Will Have 40 TVs, Live Music
A few months from now, if you’re looking for a game to watch or a lunch/dinner with an elevated American menu, you’ll literally be able to go down The Rabbit Hole in the North Loop to find it.
That’s the name of the new bar/restaurant that’ll be just below street level at 411 North Washington where AxeBridge Winery used to be.
“We really just love that area, how vibrant it is, how close to Target Field it is, and we wanted to bring something that we feel is needed in the North Loop,” said co-owner Joe Berg. “We want to give it something fun that it deserves.”
Besides 40 TV screens streaming various sports (they’ll feature NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN+), The Rabbit Hole will also host cover bands and DJs starting at 10pm Thursday-Saturday nights.

The menu and food service will be overseen by chef Tom Pivec who is an owner/operator of Lord Fletcher’s on Lake Minnetonka.
“We’re going to have a really fun food experience,” Berg said. “We don’t want to be just another place coming into the neighborhood to sell alcohol late-night and not put an emphasis on the food.”
With the glow from all the TVs inside as well as new signage outside, the owners hope The Rabbit Hole will be much more visible to passersby than AxeBridge was. They’re also designing the new space so that it can host private events in sectioned-off areas.
If construction stays on schedule, they’re looking to open the first weekend of December. And toward the spring of 2025, they’ll start renovating the back patio, adding astroturf, more TVs and new outdoor furniture.
