Minneapolis Public Schools Referendum Campaign
October 10, 2016
Vote YES for MPLS Kids is the official campaign to pass the Minneapolis Public Schools referendum on November 8, 2016. 36,000 public school students will be counting on voters to renew the existing levy, which accounts for about 13 percent of the Minneapolis Public Schools’ budget. The referendum would provide $74 million dollars annually to the Minneapolis Public Schools district. Funding from this referendum would be used to manage class sizes across the district and to provide supportive services and activities for students.
We are excited to have the support of the following Honorary Co-Chairs:
- U.S. Representative Keith Ellison
- Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges
- Minneapolis City Council Member Jacob Frey
- Minneapolis City Council Member Elizabeth Glidden
- Dr. Josie Johnson
