Bellecour Moving Around Corner, Becoming More Than Bakery
Bellecour is moving out of the space it’s shared with Cooks for the past five years on 1st Street, and reopening this fall on 3rd Avenue in the North Loop.

New location: 107 Third Ave N
Along with the move, it’s also returning to its roots and becoming more like the original restaurant/bakery that opened in Wayzata in 2016 but had to close during the pandemic.
While it will still be a casual bakery and cafe through the morning and lunch hours, Bellecour will then transition to a full-service casual French bistro in the evening.

In a statement, chef Gavin Kaysen said, “Bellecour is and was always meant to be my love letter to France, to the chefs who have taught me, and to the city of Lyon where I visit often,” Kaysen said in a statement. “While we had to take a detour the past five-years, I am excited to bring the cuisine I love to a neighborhood that has always been a strong supporter of what we have created.”

The five-year partnership with Cooks happened during the Covid crisis, as owners of both companies scrambled for ways to stay open.
Cooks will soon end its retail sales of kitchen ware here in the North Loop, although keep the space open for classes and culinary events.
Bellecour will continue serving its baked goods here through May 31st.
