Robert Patrick is showing recent paintings in Gallery One entitled = SURFACE TENSION =. Patrick’s visual making practice consists of drawing in paint on custom canvas tarpaulins. Central to his method is achieving a balance between the intimate and the monumental. He considers these large-scale paintings moving tapestries.
“Nature Reclaims” displays Ingrid Restemayer’s mixed-media artwork in Gallery Nine. Her artworks are intimate portraits of fish, birds and other animals, in combination with steady, meditative hand-stitching.
Ronald Ridgeway is the Curator/Founder of the Art Leadership Program. Ridgeway is exhibiting his Works in Progress in Art Lab 111. Also see his work in the permanent collection of the building. Ridgeway’s conceptual, site-specific art installations are created in various media. Notable is his rendering of the TractorWorks’ integrated way-finding system by means of contemporary art.
