Boy Scout Night at Minnesota Center for Book Arts

April 14, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bring your Boy Scout troop in for an evening of Paper Making and Pulp Painting! This incredibly fun and informative class gives students an introduction to paper making and an understanding of the various plant fibers and pulps used to make paper. Participants will learn how paper is transformed from fiber into pulp by touring one of MCBA’s Paper Beater Rooms. Everyone will then pull sheets of paper and use pigmented pulp to apply designs and patterns onto the still wet pages. Scouts will take home their very own handmade paper! This class is limited to 20 participants. Online registration is available for groups of up to four participants; if you would like to register for more than four at one time, please call The Shop at 612-215-2520 to process your registrations via phone. Private workshops for your whole troop also are available; please contact Angela Hed Vincent at 612-215-2529 or Stacy Stanley at 612-215-2549 with questions.

For Scouts ages 10-17 working toward the Pulp and Paper badge. (Badge not supplied by MCBA.) $29 ($26 members) + $5 supply fee.
