Artist Statement
Themes of community, commonality, nature, and place combine my love of nature, wordplay, and unique book structures to create work that reflects the world around me, visually layering text, format and image. I share what I love: letterpress, nature, and nontraditional book structures. CB Sherlock
Artist Biography
CB Sherlock is a Minneapolis printmaker and book artist. Her work frequently deals with themes of nature, connection and place. CB is a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and is a founding member of Seymour Press and Accordion Press Editions. Her work is included in the collections of the British Library, Carleton College Library, Minnesota History Center, the University of Minnesota, Walker Art Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art–Watson Library and numerous other collections.
