SAVE THE DATE – November 29th –  for Talk of the Stacks with Lee Svitak Dean and Rick Nelson in conversation with Beth Dooley

We’re ending our season with a bang! Star Tribune food writers/authors Lee Svitak Dean and Rick Nelson will join award-winning author and local favorite Beth Dooley in conversation about their new Great Minnesota Cookie Book and the much-beloved annual Star Tribune Holiday Cookie Contest. A perfect pairing for our library audience…and just in time for the holidays!

FYI…Talk of the Stacks is held in Pohlad Hall (top of the escalator) at Minneapolis Central Library.  Doors open at 6:15pm and the program begins at 7:00pm. This is a free event. Registration is not required.

Lee Svitak Dean and Rick Nelson will be at the Minneapolis Central Library’s Talk of the Stacks on Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. for a discussion with Beth Dooley and a signing of their new book, The Great Minnesota Cookie Book: Award-Winning Recipes from the Star Tribune’s Holiday Cookie Contest. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

A celebration of the rich traditions, creativity, and taste of the region, The Great Minnesota Cookie Book collects the best-loved recipes and baking lore from fifteen years of the Star Tribune’s popular holiday cookie contest. From French-Swiss butter cookies to cherry pinwheels, the recipes in this book recall memories of holidays past and inspire the promise of happy gatherings to come.
