Go retro at MCBA’s Unabashedly Bookish Bash,
a benefit with a backyard barbeque twist!
Saturday, July 23; 7-10pm
Groove to live music from Dan Newton and the Café Accordion Trio in our transformed studio and gallery space, “retro”-fitted with paper lanterns and plastic lawn flamingos.
Enjoy delicious food from Pimento Jamaican Kitchen, sip on local craft beer and cocktails, and treat yourself to our tropical island sundae bar, featuring Izzy’s ice cream and sorbet.
Shop the Art Mart, featuring donated work by local, national, and international artists, a “Cover-up” gallery of altered books, and other print treasures.
Get printing! We’ll have a press inked up and ready for you to print your own commemorative letterpress postcard.
Proceeds from the Bash support the myriad programs we offer artists.
General admission $25
Get the VIP treatment $125 — includes an exclusive reception from 6-7pm, early access to the Art Mart, and a signature cocktail served in a commemorative glass.
