Metro Transit and MillerCoors are teaming up to support responsible celebrating on Saturday, Saint Patrick’s Day. Metro Transit operators are joining with the Minneapolis Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Metro Transit Police Department and law enforcement partners across the Twin Cities Metro Area working to keep holiday revelers safe.
This year, with the holiday falling on a Saturday, we are asking everyone to celebrate responsibly and let Metro Transit help to take them to your favorite hot spot and home again … safely and at no cost.
Since the Miller Lite Free Rides program’s inception in 1997, Metro Transit operators have given more than 1.1 million free rides. This year, the program covers all routes from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Free rides also will be available on Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, SouthWest Transit and Anoka Transit routes.
Riders can plan their trips by going to metrotransit.org or by downloading the Metro Transit app on a smart phone.
