The Minneapolis Farmers Market Opens for the 2019 Season!

Welcome to the 2019 Season of the Minneapolis Farmers Market!!

The snow is finally gone and the weather is getting warmer!
Opening Weekend! This Saturday, April 27th, the Minneapolis Farmers Market begins its regular hours, opening daily from 6am until 1pm.

You are probably wondering what is available and who you can expect to see down at the market? For this first official full weekend, you can expect to find our winter market vendors who have been continuously coming down despite the weather. These include, Bar 5 Meat and Poultry, Tollefson’s Family Pork, Utecht’s Homegrown Pork and Bruce Wry with Wisconsin cheese. Additionally this weekend, you may find some of our greenhouse and farmstead vendors as well.
Keep In Mind! The Re-useable Bag Design Contest for 2019 is underway! The new bag design will be unveiled and bags given away free (thank you Country Financial!) on Saturday, May 18th. Put this date in your calendars and join us to congratulate the winner and grab a bag for yourself!

Don’t forget our annual Chefs Challenge. The chefs challenge will be August 10th. Yes, write this date down too. Join us as we watch the chefs compete to shop the market and create that winning dish!
Do you like cooking? Do you like cooking what you find at the market? We are looking for anyone who may be interested in showcasing some of their recipes. Market demos are Saturday mornings and they serve as a way to inform and educate our customers on how to prepare the wide selection of produce found at the market. If you would like a chance to demonstrate a recipe, or two with us, please email mplsfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
Fresh Produce for Everyone! The Mpls Farmers Market does accept SNAP/EBT, Market Bucks and WIC/FMNP. We also participate in the Healthy Savings Program as well. It is our goal to make fresh and local produce available to everyone.
A friendly reminder that we are continuously working our website to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for- including recipes, resources, and tips for what to do with what you are buying at the Market!

Don’t forget! We have 2 additional locations besides the Mpls – Lyndale location. We are also on Nicollet Mall on Thursdays and at the Hennepin County Government Center on Tuesdays.
