New Restaurant, Salt & Flour, Opens At North Loop Green
With a big red pizza oven named Seymour and floating window art that can be raised or lowered like a shade, Salt And Flour is bringing a colorful new experience to the North Loop dining and entertainment scene.
Not only offering handmade pastas, focaccia pizzas and shareable plates from an exhibition kitchen, it also features an Italian market with sauces, pantry items and meal baskets to go.
It’s a brand new concept from chef Brian Ingram’s Purpose Restaurants, which also opened Hope Breakfast Bar here a couple of weeks ago.
You’ll find it on the street level of North Loop Green, 350 North 5th Street, across from Target Field.
“I call it my love story to my mom, the lady who raised me and made all this possible,” Ingram said. He learned a lot about salt, flour and other ingredients as a kid, making sure to have a warm meal waiting for his mom when she returned home from work.
For this first opening week, Salt & Flour is only serving dinner (opening at 4pm the rest of this week). But starting Monday, October 21st, it will add Monday-Friday lunch opening at 11am. Weekend brunch service is also coming at the end of this month.
Reservations are now open on Tock.
