New Permanent Jewelry Studio Coming To 1st Street
For about six months, Leanne Kampfe has been appearing at pop-up markets and fairs, selling permanent jewelry through her fledgling business, All That Glitters. But now, instead of packing up and tearing down all the time, she’s found a location that’s a little more… well, permanent.
Starting June 2nd, she’ll be leasing studio space inside Aesthetic Repository, a medspa on the lower level of Riverwalk Lofts at 400 North 1st Street.
“I fell in love with everything about it,” she said. “Not just the inside space but also the neighborhood. I love the city and I love when it’s walkable. And I think the energy there is really great.”
Permanent jewelry has been a hot trend in recent years, often shared by close friends and relatives to mark a special bond or occasion. Essentially, it’s jewelry that never has to be taken off.

“I always tell people that it’s really just custom jewelry, so you have the opportunity to pick all the pieces of it,” Kampfe said. “You can pick the chain you like, you can combine chains, you can make it into a bangle, you can add charms if you want to. And then we custom size it to you.”

“I offer clasps, so if people don’t want it to be something they wear 24/7, it doesn’t have to be,” she added. “But you can wear it 24/7 whether you’ve got a clasp on it or not because the materials are all non-tarnish so you can put it on and forget about it.”
Kampfe is a full-time educator who’s been building this business on the side. She’s planning to continue her pop-ups this summer but also set aside at least one night a week to be in the new North Loop studio.
