North Loop Cannabis Shop Officially Becomes Dispensary
As regional manager for Wildflower, the growing group of Twin Cities cannabis shops, Erin Kaine was used to the questions and downcast looks from customers as the company waited for Minnesota to grant them a license to sell recreational flower.

“I felt like we were disappointing people for a long time, and everyone’s coming in asking for flower and vapes and all that, and especially the people from out of town, not quite understanding where the laws are,” she said. “So it’s so great to just be able to tell people, yes, we do have it.”

Wildflower received a license in late October, worked out an agreement with a grower, the Mille Lacs band of Ojibwe, and started selling flower last weekend.
“So currently we have two different kinds of pre-rolls, two different half ounces, and then everything else comes in a 4-gram eighth,” she said.

The shop opened on North 2nd Street in October of 2023, selling hemp-derived cannabis products with a focus on education and wellness.
“Education is still the number one thing for us,” Kaine said. “We want people coming in here and knowing what they’re getting. We’re not just looking to sell them the highest percentage, you know. We’re gonna figure out what their goal is, and try to help find a product that’s gonna fit them.”

The shop is still carrying hemp-derived THC edibles and beverages. They’ll be expanding the number of flower strains soon, as well as bringing in new high-dose edibles and beverages as they become available.
