Raising The Eyebrow Game In The North Loop
Kerry Labrie has a passion for eyebrows. So much so, she used to have personalized Minnesota license plates that read IBROWS.
One of those plates is currently at the reception desk of her brand new salon in the North Loop, The Glam Garage, at 801 North Washington Avenue, Unit 114.
With more than 30 years in the business, Kerry, a North Loop resident, now specializes in treatments such as waxing, tinting and cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows and eyeliner.
“Everybody needs grooming,” she said, “and most women care about their brows.”
She said cosmetic tattooing has seen a surge in popularity, especially for those who are unable or don’t have the time to do regular maintenance on their brows or eyeliner.
Kerry spent the past 14 years with Lifetime Fitness and its LifeSpa facilities. But she said it’s always been a dream to have her own salon and she was drawn to the historic warehouse on Washington Avenue and its street level units. She worked with Rutledge Construction to build out the new space for the past several months.
She’s hosting a soft open for her business on Saturday, February 29th from 6 – 9 pm.
