More Food Truck Options In The North Loop
Just to do something different during the pandemic, Bill Ribnick recently had tables set up in the side parking lot of his business, Ribnick Luxury Outerwear, for a big family dinner outside. As he saw the reaction and talked with a few passersby, he realized his parking lot could also be a good dining spot for the community.
So he’s bringing in food trucks to the parking lot to see if it catches on. “My goal is just to provide an opportunity for people in the neighborhood, somewhere to go for people to eat safely, to get outside their homes.”
It will be similar to other offerings from businesses that aren’t usually in the food business: Food Truck Wednesday hosted by DRG along Washington Avenue, as well as Food Truck Thursday hosted in the side alley of MartinPatrick3. The difference, though, is that Ribnick is hosting trucks at dinner time and he’s open to having them there several evenings a week, if it goes well.
