Demi Named To Prestigious Relais & Châteaux List Of Restaurants
Luxury travelers and fine diners have come to rely on the esteemed Relais & Châteaux to help them find some of the most unique hotels and restaurants in the world. Now, that prestigious association’s membership includes the highly-acclaimed Demi restaurant on North Second Street.
In welcoming Demi to its list this week, the association noted that it’s “in the fashionable district of North Loop, Minneapolis” and called it “a culinary experience designed to appeal to a demanding clientele that wants to combine highly original cooking with relaxed conviviality… an astonishing piece of dining theater.”
Owner Gavin Kaysen said in a social media post, “Starting out as a line cook I once dreamt of the possibility of one day being part of @relaischateaux. It is one of the most prestigious and honorable organizations in the world that recognizes family owned and operated properties around the globe.”
He pointed out that Demi is the only independent restaurant in the world to be added to the list this year, and the only one in Minnesota.
The restaurant’s Facebook page noted, “We feel so at home in an organization that recognizes professionals that are passionate about their craft and committed to forging warm, lasting relationships with guests.”
