Breakfast Bar, Italian Eatery Coming To North Loop Green
The new North Loop Green development, towering over Target Field, has started welcoming its first apartment residents, while business tenants will begin moving into the commercial tower in the coming months.
Now, we also know which restaurants will be part of the massive complex. The popular Hope Breakfast Bar, which already has locations in St. Louis Park, St. Paul and Eagan, will open a new cafe near the building’s entry off North 5th Street while a new modern Italian eatery, Salt & Flour will also open on the street level, just across from the ballpark.
Both restaurants are from Chef Brian Ingram, founder of Purpose Restaurants and both are expected to open late this summer or early fall.
“Chef Ingram’s passion for excellence and community engagement aligns perfectly with our vision of creating a vibrant, inclusive space that serves as a cornerstone for cultural and culinary exploration in Minneapolis,” said Bob Pfefferle, Managing Director at Hines, which developed North Loop Green.
On June 1st, another spot for food and drink will open on the other side of the building at the new one-acre green space at the north end of North Loop Green. Bassett Hound (named after Bassett Creek which flows beneath it) will have several beer taps as well as food options for those enjoying the new park and its various activities. It will be operated by Marquee Development and Levy and will feature a sizable patio.
North Loop Green is planning a grand opening in early June, followed by a neighborhood appreciation event later in the month, with music, food and drinks, games.
