Stay in the Loop

Another Bridal Store Coming To The North Loop

After a bustling first two months of business for Anna Bé in their new bridal boutique on 1st Avenue North, they’re already getting some North Loop competition, with signs going up for a new Grace Loves Lace shop on Washington Avenue.

Molly Flannery, shop manager for Anna Bé says it’s a great time to be in the bridal business, with so many couples trying to catch up on postponed celebrations.

“2022 is going to be historically one of the biggest years for weddings,” she said, “so we are definitely here at a good time, definitely seeing a boom in weddings.”

Flannery said Anna Bé focuses on providing “laid back luxury” with a much less stressful experience than cable TV would have you believe it is.

“I think there’s a misconception about what finding your dress is like,” she said. “It’s not this big emotional, overwhelming moment. It’s supposed to be easy and effortless and just fun. It shouldn’t have pressure.”

Anna Bé is a female-run business which gives a portion of each sale to charities that support women.

Soon, remodeling will be underway for the Grace Loves Lace shop, which is going into the space formerly occupied by Edina Realty. Grace Loves Lace is a popular Australian company with showrooms in about a dozen U.S. cities as well as London and Toronto.
