Artist Hopes New Mural Near Modist Will Spread Positivity

As she put the finishing touches on her new mural outside of Modist Brewing this weekend, artist Martzia Thometz said she realized how many people–from bar hoppers to Twins fans–will see her work.
“I just wanted something positive for everybody to see,” she said. “I know a lot of people walk by here.”
The mural features broken chains at the top along with flowers, butterflies and the message “A better world is possible.”
“Just hoping that a better world is possible,” she said, “that we can all work together and make something beautiful happen.”
