“Edgy Southern-Fusion Chicken Joint” Opens

Hoping to attract as many people for their food as for their pour-your-own drinks, First Draft is opening an all-new chicken restaurant inside the taproom this Wednesday, November 18th, known as Pluck’d. They’re calling it an “edgy Southern-fusion chicken joint” with dine-in, take-out and delivery options.

First Draft’s most popular food item, its original chicken sandwich, will still be on the menu but it will be joined by other flavors like Buffalo, Korean BBQ and Nashville Hot. They’ll also offer chicken tenders–including a meatless option sourced from Herbivorous Butcher.

“We are a place that prides itself on top-class service and a fun environment,” said General Manager Josh Hochstatter. “The opening of Pluck’d will add a new aspect to that tradition by offering our customers an exciting chicken and beer dining option.”

To celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, Pluck’d will give $5 off orders above $14.

First Draft has more than 50 pour-your-own taps, many of them highlighting local beer, wine, cider, coffee and kombucha. They’ve implemented several safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We are focused on safety but we want to have as much fun as possible, so come see us and get Pluck’d,” Hochstatter said.
