The Nature of Things by Jodi Reeb
Reeb creates mixed-media paintings using photographs of pollinator-friendly plants taken “from the bee’s perspective”. These paintings are created using Encaustic paint, (molten beeswax, pigment and resin) oil pigment stick and photographic images printed on tissue paper as collage. This is a new direction for Reeb combining encaustic painting to create mixed-media works that have the luminosity of beeswax while maintaining the graphic nature of photography.

No Claim: Assimilation, Integration and Adaptation by Steve Ozone
Ozone’s photographs are his means of exploring immigration and family history and while the subjects may seem odd to the majority of the people in the United States, he’s come to realize food tells the true story of assimilation and integration. These images of vegetables and flowers are digitally captured against a black background which emphasizes the color and detail of the subject.
