Mill City Summer Opera extends a special free invite to downtown parents!
The romance, tragedy, passion, and revenge of opera have captivated composers and audiences for ages. Opera, Italian for ‘work,’ is over 400 years old and has a history thick with tradition and culture. If you’ve ever been curious about what happens behind the scenes, or thought about attending an opera this performance is for you. Artistic Director David Lefkowich and Mill City Summer Opera singers will perform selections of opera through the ages, offering history, background, and stories to accompany. This performance is open to everyone from seasoned opera lovers to opera first-timers, come get the inside scoop on this time-tested method of story telling and entertainment!
This event is free with registration and will be held at the Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota Campus.
