Indoor Mini Golf Coming To The Corner Of Washington And Hennepin
North Loop golfers already enjoy playing the greens of St. Andrews, Augusta National and many others on the high-tech simulators inside Thr3 Jack. But now comes exciting news for those whose “golf” game is more suited for putting around campy obstacles while sipping craft cocktails.
Puttery has announced plans to open a new entertainment center at the corner of Washington and Hennepin that will feature “three uniquely themed putting courses, bars, and multiple lounge areas throughout.” It will offer pizza, salads and appetizers along with craft cocktails, beer, wine and alcohol-free drinks.
The new venue, for adults 21+, will be at the base of 270 Hennepin, the newly-opened apartment tower across the street from the new Four Seasons.
Puttery already has locations near Dallas, Charlotte and Washington, DC, with several others in the works.
“Minneapolis is the heart of the Midwest, and a clear choice for our next Puttery location as we continue our rapid, nationwide expansion,” said Hana Khouri, president and Chief Executive Officer of parent company Drive Shack Inc. “Their growing population is always in search of unique destinations for corporate events, happy hours, and date nights. Puttery Minneapolis will be the perfect enhancement to the city’s booming entertainment landscape.”
In a news release, the company said “Puttery combines a lively atmosphere with innovative scoring technology and themed courses for an immersive guest experience.” They did not give a projected opening date.
