Stay in the Loop

New Shop Opening Here With A Focus On “Doing Things”

Outdoor Voices becomes the latest national retailer to move into the North Loop with its first Minnesota shop opening Thursday, October 14th at 11am in the Colonial Warehouse at 3rd Avenue N and 2nd Street N.

“We chose the North Loop specifically,” said Kaci Blair, VP of Retail for Outdoor Voices. “There’s a lot of history here, it’s very industrial but I think it’s meeting this very modern moment where a lot of direct-to-consumer brands are starting to join in here. We wanted to get in on that.”

The company has clothing geared toward helping both women and men get outdoors and do things.

“We believe in recreational activity that is less about performance and competition and more about really having a good time,” said Blair. “And doing things for the fun of it. Whether that is clothes for recovery after you go to a yoga class or a HIIT workout or it is clothes to take you truly outdoors.”

The store is designed with a Minnesota feel, from the hockey nets and blue circles on the floors to the rows of lights in the ceiling that gradually angle to mimic the winds coming off a lake.

Outdoor Voices will soon be joined next door by Sweetgreen, a health-conscious restaurant chain which is scheduled to open October 25th in the former Moose & Sadie’s space.
