New Shop Opens With Contest for Free Sandwiches
The smell of fresh-from-the-oven bread is now wafting through the North Loop’s Fifth Avenue Market with the opening of an Erbert and Gerbert’s sandwich shop inside the convenience store.
The grand opening is Saturday, October 5th at 10:30 AM, but the newly-hired staff started serving sandwiches, soups, salads and chili at a soft opening Friday evening.
As part of its opening, the shop is offering a chance for someone to win free sandwiches for a year. Between October 5th-12th, guests who download the Erbert & Gerbert’s app, designate the 5th Avenue location as their favorite and then earn points through sandwich purchases will automatically be entered.
Owner Asif Dawood said he saw a need for a sandwich shop in the North Loop and this is just the first phase of upgrades to his store. Now that the sandwich shop is ready to go, he will now focus on improving his grocery sales with more organic options and upgraded display shelves.
The Erbert and Gerbert’s shop will be open from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM each day.
