Stay in the Loop

New To North Loop Galley: WRAP

During the pandemic, the owners of Wrecktangle Pizza, Jeff Rogers and Breanna Evans, have not only been pivoting and adapting to keep their North Loop business alive, they’ve also been working on expansion plans.

Starting Sunday, April 25th, they will debut WRAP in the space next to Wrecktangle in the North Loop Galley. It’ll offer nine different types of wraps in turmeric flour tortillas from noon-4:00 Wednesdays-Sundays. They’ll also have sides, desserts and drinks.

But the new business will only be open for about a month because Rogers and Evans are opening a second Wrecktangle location around the end of May at Malcolm Yards food hall, and the owners of North Loop Galley hope to have a new concept opening soon in that space where WRAP will temporarily be.

“This is just for the sake of hiring other people,” said Rogers. “It’s also something I really wanted to do anyway.” Assuming things go well, the owners will try to find another location for WRAP or offer it as a catering option.

For now, they’re just looking forward to emerging from the pandemic and experiencing a real North Loop summer.

“We love it here, we love the neighbors,” said Evans. “We have great regulars and awesome support. We don’t want to leave so we signed for a longer lease.”
