One-Day Shopping Event Will Benefit Local Farmers Markets

For one day this month, a massive warehouse near the Minneapolis Farmers Market will be transformed into an indoor Winter Market, filled with more than 100 local vendors, plus entertainment, drinks from Modist Brewing and a free holiday photo booth. It’s a brand new benefit for the Minnesota Farmers Market Association. Below is their news release.

Minnesota, December 4th, 2023— The North Loop Winter Market is thrilled to announce its upcoming event, scheduled to take place on December 16th at a transformed 121,272 square foot warehouse adjacent to the Minneapolis Farmers Market. This event promises to be a lively celebration of local growers, producers, and makers, featuring over 100 local businesses in the vendor village and over 20 community partners who ardently believe in supporting the local food system.

Mission Statement:

At the heart of the North Loop Winter Market is a powerful mission – to create a warm and welcoming space for our vibrant community of growers, producers, and makers. More than just supporting sustainable Minnesota Agriculture, we seek to bring people together, foster connections during the winter months, and celebrate the incredible flavors of our region.

Benefiting the Minnesota Farmers Market Association:

The North Loop Winter Market is proud to announce that a significant portion of its proceeds will directly benefit the Minnesota Farmers Market Association. By participating in our event, attendees are not only supporting local businesses but also contributing to the growth and sustainability of our broader community.

Event Highlights:

– Location: 501 Royalston Ave, MPLS, MN 55403 (Adjacent to the MPLS Farmers Market w/ free parking lot) –

Date and Time: December 16th, 2023 10 am to 4 pm

Vendor Village: Over 100 local businesses will showcase their products, creating a vibrant and diverse marketplace.

– Community Partners: Our event will feature community partners who believe in and actively support the local food system.

-“Art is Food” Exhibition: Featuring evocative photos of farmers markets, local artists celebrating food as community, and a historical exhibit by Mill City titled “Lettres de Gratitude.”- Mission Focus: Educating, nourishing, and making local food accessible for all community members.
– Annual Tradition: The North Loop Winter Market aims to establish itself as an annual tradition, bringing together the community year after year.
