Stay in the Loop

Owner Of New Salon: “I Feel Like I’m Birthing Two Babies”

Being nine months pregnant with her first child at the same time she’s opening a brand new lash and brow salon in the North Loop, Greta Patel says the timing could have been better but she’s thrilled nonetheless.

“The timing definitely is crazy,” she said. “My hope was that we would’ve opened in March. But I love the girls who are working here and they are incredible and well-trained. I trust that they’re going to do an amazing job launching the business and creating that first impression.”

The Lash Sanctuary, opening on 1st Avenue North between Red Cow and the Ten Spot, will specialize in eyelash extensions but will also offer brow waxing, brow tinting and brow lamination as well as eyelash lifts and tints.

It’s the second location for The Lash Sanctuary. Greta has owned another one in the 50th and France area of Edina for three years, but she and her husband, Tyssul, spend a lot of time in the North Loop and decided to expand here.

“It’s so lively and just felt like the perfect spot,” she said. “We were out to dinner at Billy Sushi and walked by this space that had a for lease sign and I looked in the window, and I was like, I would be upset to see any other business move in there besides us.”

The opening is set for May 1st and they’ll start booking appointments in the coming days. You can follow them on Instagram and Facebook for more information.
