Public Comment Period for Draft Downtown Service Area Master Parks Plan Closes March 4

Franklin Steele Square is one of five existing parks included in the Downtown Service Area Master Plan

One week left to review and comment on long-term plan for Downtown Minneapolis parks!

This is the last week for the public to comment on a draft of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s (MPRB) Downtown Service Area Master Plan (DSAMP). This document will guide outdoor improvements at all non-riverfront downtown neighborhood parks (Elliot Park, Franklin Steele Square, Gateway Park, Loring Park, Park Avenue Triangle) for the next 20-30 years, as well as the potential acquisition and development of new parkland within downtown Minneapolis.

The draft DSAMP is the result of more than two years of community-based planning and design. The public comment period opened on Jan. 18, 2017 and it closes March 4, 2017.
