Stay in the Loop

Still Eight More Stories To Go For North Loop Green

As the towering new development known as North Loop Green rises ever higher over left field, friends of Bob Pfefferle have been texting or emailing photos and compliments to him from their seats at Target Field. Bob is the Managing Director of Hines, the company that’s developing the project.

“They’re just basically saying it’s going to be a fantastic project,” he said.

When finished in early 2024, many residents of the 35-story luxury apartment tower will have spectacular views of the ballpark and/or the Minneapolis skyline.

Others will overlook the historic buildings of the North Loop and the Mississippi River beyond.

Behind the residential tower will be a 14-story glass office building with Piper Sandler as the anchor tenant.

The 14th floor of the office building will feature an outdoor pool, patio, fitness center, sauna and other amenities. A skyway will connect the two towers on the 14th level.

But the most exciting aspect of this project for current North Loop residents is the one-acre park that will be added along the Cedar Lake Trail and under the I-94 overpasses. It will feature special events throughout the year for the neighborhood to enjoy.

“Just a phenomenal neighborhood asset,” Pfefferle said. “And city asset, for that matter.”

The residential tower will feature 450 luxury apartments. One hundred of those apartments–on the first six floors–will be fully-furnished and available for temporary guests, more along the lines of a high-end hotel.

Pre-leasing for the upper floor apartments may begin this summer.

You can follow the progress of North Loop Green on their Instagram and Facebook accounts.
