West Elm Sets New Opening Date

With construction continuing on the Second and Second apartment/retail project in the North Loop, West Elm had a “soft opening” on February 27th and will have a grand opening party on March 5th from 6-8 pm.

Here are some of the details from the company’s news release:

Global lifestyle and design brand West Elm will open its first downtown Minneapolis store Thursday, March 5 in the heart of the North Loop. The new 11,000-sq.-foot store is located on the ground floor of the SECOND + SECOND development. To celebrate, West Elm will host a public grand opening party the evening of March 5 from 6–8 p.m. at the store.

West Elm’s grand opening party will feature:
  • Local bites and specialty cocktails*.
  • West Elm’s exclusive spring line.
  • Shopping for a great cause! Shoppers will receive 15% off, and a portion of proceeds from the evening will benefit local nonprofit Urban Homeworks. Urban Homeworks is a local nonprofit with a mission of transforming vacant or distressed properties into a healthy neighborhood.
  • Goods and gifts from local Minnesota makers Solid Manufacturing & Kate Arends  of Wit + Delight.

*Must be 21+ to participate
