Stay in the Loop

Who’s Doing Thanksgiving In The North Loop?

Once again this year, North Loop restaurants are coming through with Thanksgiving meals and meal kits to go, while at least one, Tullibee, is hosting in-person feasts.

Tullibee’s family-style meals (with a vegan option) will be served both Thursday and Friday, November 25 & 26. They will include pickle roll-ups, kale salad, sweet potato gnocchi, smoked turkey leg & roasted turkey breast with gravy and cranberry sauce, green bean hot dish, chestnut stuffing and three pies to choose from: apple, pumpkin and maple bourbon pecan.

The Freehouse

You can get a traditional meal to go from The Freehouse which includes roasted turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, corn bread stuffing, green bean hot dish and a holiday festive salad. They’ll be available for pickup on Wednesday, November 24th, but only for those who pre-order by November 20th.

If all you need is a tasty smoked turkey, StormKing Brewpub has you covered. You can pre-order the turkey (10-12 lbs. plus a 12 oz bottle of BBQ sauce) by stopping by the taproom or emailing Bart@stormkingbrewpub.com and then pick up your smoked turkey between 9:00am and 11:00am Thanksgiving morning.

There are also options that go beyond the traditional turkey, including Soul Bowl’s mix & match half-pans of food which include base options like mac & cheese, yellow rice and cauliflower mash, paired with veggies and meat options such as jerk chicken, mesquite salmon and, yes, smoked turkey breast. These meals, which also include dessert, are available for pickup on both Thanksgiving Day as well as the day before at Graze.

Ono Hawaiian Plates will give your holiday meal a Hawaiian twist and you’ll pick it up on Thanksgiving Day ready to serve: Hawaiian sea salt roasted turkey breast, Portuguese sausage stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, coconut creamed spinach, Hawaiian sweet rolls and pineapple upside down cake.(UPDATE: They’re sold out.)

Union Hmong Kitchen has a feast to go that’ll feed 3-4 and includes turkey, fish, sausage, purple sticky rice, many vegetables, and an array of specialty sauces. It comes with banana leaves for the table and presentation, and instructions on how to heat and serve. Their chocolate French silk pie spiked with Korean Gochujang chili powder is an added offering that completes the feast. You’ll need to pre-order this and pick it up the day before Thanksgiving at Vinai in Northeast Minneapolis.

For dessert, Bellecour Bakery has brown butter crepes layered with pumpkin spice chantilly, topped with whipped cream and pepita crumble. It’s available to pre-order for Thanksgiving and you can schedule a pick-up time at their North Loop location between November 19-24.

And Edwards Dessert Kitchen, despite being officially closed until Spring 2022, has a special Thanksgiving treat: individual-sized Thanksgiving Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecakes. For a limited time, these will be available for purchase and pickup at their North Loop restaurant. (UPDATE: They’re now sold out.)

Both Red Cow and Red Rabbit have meal kits to go (with $25 of each order going to Masonic Children’s Hospital), but you’ll have to pick them up at the Red Cow in Uptown.

Their kits include turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, butter pecan sweet potatoes, stuffing, mac & cheese, bread with garlic butter, cranberries and pumpkin pie (with a la carte options). Orders must be placed by November 21st and the kits can be picked up on Wednesday, November 24th in Uptown.

AxeBridge

And AxeBridge Winery has a wine-pairing package. Each of the three bottles of wine is designed to pair with a different part of the meal: turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie. They’re available to pick up at the North Loop winery through Wednesday, November 24th.

These are all the ones we’ve noticed online so far, but check back later to see if any others are announced.
