You’re Invited! Pop-Up Picnic in the Park
“What if we all ate together every once in a while?” wondered Scott Woller, longtime NLNA board member and owner of Coffee Coffee on 3rd St. N for the past 19 years. “Urban living continually brings us all close together, but it’s important to have neighborhood events that connect us with each other. So, let’s do a family meal as a neighborhood at a pop-up picnic!”
Let’s keep this real simple. Just pack your own picnic or grab your favorite North Loop take-out and join your neighbors at the 3rd Street Park. North Loop Neighborhood Association volunteers will roll out the picnic blankets and provide the music. You bring your dinner and your friends, and hopefully meet new ones!
Because summer evenings are too good to spend indoors, right? (But yes, our rain date is July 9, because, Minnesota.)
“We have a lot of things going for us here in the North Loop. Cool people, cool park, incredible July weather, great take-out. The Pop-Up Picnic is a chance for all these things to come together,” said Woller.
The Pop-Up Picnic will take place in the park on 3rd St. N. from 6:30 to 8p.m. on Wednesday, July 8.
