Condo Tower Moving Ahead, Still 10 Stories But Fewer Units

The developer of a 10-story condo tower in the North Loop hopes to break ground before the end of this year after winning approval from the Minneapolis Planning Commission this week.

Developer Todd Simning, president of Kroiss Development, told the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal there will be 59 condo units in the TMBR project—20 fewer than originally planned, so they can make the individual condos bigger. Simning said that’s what the early buyers wanted.

TMBR will be built on what’s now a surface parking lot next to Fairgrounds Coffee, at the corner of 3rd Avenue North and 1st Street North.
