NOLO Kitchen & Bar ( rolled out Monday in the former Gardner Hardware Building (515 Washington Ave. N.).

Owners Brett Johnson, Marty Collins and chef Peter Hoff are giving a spin on Midwestern fare. Look for French toast, biscuits and gravy and waffles for breakfast. The lunch menu will offer up soups, salads, sandwiches and flatbread. For dinner, expect a range of casual to fancier fare, such as seafood, steaks, chops and pastas.

In addition to the first-floor restaurant, the trio have converted the downstairs into The Basement Bar, ( featuring cocktails, an “indoor food truck window” for food, games and live music.
