New North Loop Business Helps Other Entrepreneurs Launch, Grow and Learn
An entrepreneur with her own successful business has opened a new office in the North Loop as a gathering space for other entrepreneurs to network, attend workshops and rent meeting space. Candice Ellis, founder and CEO of The Ellis Collective, hosted her grand opening on August 7.
“The Collective is a community resource. It is a community collaboration center, it is a place where I see people coming together to network, to collaborate, to train, to learn all together, because success is not isolated,” said Ellis at the grand opening reception. “It takes all of us coming together.”

Since 2016, Ellis has had her own business, C.A. Ellis & Associates, which offers compliance services to home- and community-based healthcare providers that help people with disabilities remain in their homes. With ten employees, the company allows providers to focus on the day-to-day operations while ensuring they are compliant with their paperwork needs and offers required training to staff on complying with state regulations. Along the way, Ellis earned her MBA and a master’s in Psychology.
While building her own business, Ellis realized she could help her provider-clients beyond compliance. “A lot of the providers I work with either work out of their homes or in a small space, and they’re serving multiple individuals as well as having multiple staff,” explained Ellis. “So creating a space where they can all come together to all learn from each other was filling a need.”
Ellis added, “This space is about more than just business—it’s about building community, sharing knowledge and making sure every entrepreneur feels they have a place to grow and be supported.”
Today, The Ellis Collective has expanded beyond the provider sector, providing learning and development opportunities to any entrepreneur to pitch a business idea, host an event or rent working and meeting spaces.
