Stay in the Loop

Nothing Bundt Cakes Now Open, Grand Opening Party Nov. 1

Nothing Bundt Cakes is open for business in the North Loop, with an official Grand Opening celebration planned for Saturday, November 1.  Visitors to the shop are immediately treated to a mouth-watering display featuring cakes in three sizes: Bundt Cakes for small groups, personal size “Bundtlets” and “Bundtinis,” which are the smallest Bundt cakes sold by the dozen.

The Nothing Bundt Cakes display case is filled with a variety of flavors and cake sizes.

Flavors include Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Chip and more, with of course Pumpkin Spice for the fall season. There’s currently a pop-up flavor called “Triple Treat — Made with Reese’s and Oreo’s,” which is an Oreo Cookies & Cream cake baked with chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce, available until Nov. 9 or until supplies last.

According to a company news release, the Nov. 1 Grand Opening begins at 9am with the following offerings:

  • Golden Ticket Giveaway: There will be a golden ticket hidden under a Bundtlet container that provides the winner with a free Bundt cake each month for a year,
  • Free Bundtlets for the first 300 guests through the door,
  • Spin-the-wheel giveaways with prizes and sweet surprises from 10am to 1pm,
  • Free “hair tinsel” from 9am to 1pm provided by Storybook Entertainment,
  • A “Bundt-Cutting Ceremony” at 9am, replacing the traditional ribbon cutting.

The Grand Opening also includes a charitable component. Anyone who donates a hygiene item at the North Loop location from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1 will receive a BOBO Bundtlet. Donated hygiene items will go to People Serving People.

The store is located in the Intersect Building at 316 N. 2nd St., next to Treats. They’re open Monday through Friday from 8am to 10pm and weekends from 9am to 10pm. You can follow them on Facebook for updates.
