Stay in the Loop

Thanks To North Loop Volunteers!

We accomplished a lot in our first-ever Service Saturday in the North Loop. Our streets are now cleaner, our river views more expansive, our city’s blood supply in better shape and some young people more secure.

The North Loop Neighborhood Association organized this day of service to build on the generous outpouring of giving we witnessed after the unrest in the city in May. It was clear that many of our neighbors are looking for ways to chip in and help out.

For the first of what we hope will become a monthly event, we hosted a litter cleanup, blood drive, donation drive for YouthLink, voter registration as well as the weekly clearing of the invasive vines and overgrowth in the woods of James I Rice Park which had choked off the views of the river.

We’re thankful for everyone who turned out to make this effort such a big success.
