Wrestler Will ‘Kill Winter’ At Free North Loop Party With Beer, Pizza

After the seemingly endless winter we’ve just been through, someone is finally stepping up to officially put an end to it. North Loop creative agency, Honest Studios, is hosting a free Death To Winter party on Friday, May 12th, and they’ve recruited pro wrestler Super Thunder Frog and some of his wrestling pals to make an appearance and carry out the task.

The party, starting at 5pm on the 12th, will also feature free wood-fired pizza from the group, People and Pizza, as well as samples of the new beer that Honest is releasing with the Portage Brewing Company–while supplies last.

“The heart behind it is to just reconnect with everybody after a long winter,” said Jeremy Bardwell, Honest Studios CEO and co-founder (with his wife, Natalie). “It’s just a fun time to come around, very carefree with beer and pizza.”

Bardwell is asking that people RSVP here for the free event, so they have an idea of how many to expect.

Honest Studios is at 9th and Washington in the same building as The Phoenix apartments and Spyhouse Coffee. It’s a full service creative agency that does branding, marketing, video production, large-scale music festivals and cause-related work. They also have a natural light studio which they rent out for events and photo/video shoots.

For some time, they’ve wanted to collaborate with a brewery on a new beer, and they’ve come up with a 100% organic West Coast IPA. “In order for it to be organic, everything has to be organic,” said Bardwell, “so it’s like the barley, the hops, everything about this beer is organic.”

Bardwell doesn’t want to give away all the details about Super Thunder Frog’s appearance and how winter will die. But it will be “dramatic.”
