North Loop Galley Welcomes Newest Concept: Good Boy

The man overseeing the newest concept at North Loop Galley, executive chef Jim Pfeffer, has plenty of experience with fine dining in this neighborhood. He was sous chef at Bachelor Farmer and chef de cuisine at Tullibee restaurant at the Hewing Hotel.

Now, though, he’s ready for something a little more down to earth with sandwiches, bowls, salads, and small plates at Good Boy.

“It’s really just food that I like to cook,” Pfeffer said. “It’s simple, it’s not pretentious. It’s just comfortable.”

He expects his new menu to appeal especially to the lunch and happy hour crowds. “You know, get a pint and a quick bite after work,” he said.

Pfeffer, who’s also North Loop Galley’s general manager, chose a name for this new kitchen concept that he knew would resonate with residents here. “Everybody in the neighborhood has a dog,” he said.
