The Safety and Livability Committee of the North Loop Neighborhood Association (NLNA) is established to foster a safe, secure, and vibrant environment within the North Loop neighborhood. The committee focuses on identifying, addressing, and promoting measures that improve safety, quality of life, and the overall livability of the neighborhood. Its purpose is to work collaboratively with local residents, businesses, community groups, law enforcement, and city officials to ensure that the North Loop continues to be a welcoming and thriving community.

Crime Prevention Specialist Renee Allen is with the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) and watches public safety trends in the North Loop. Renee is available to speak to HOAs and community groups about personal safety, best practices for keeping buildings secure as well as crime statistics. The North Loop Neighborhood Safety Walk Group, a part of Minneapolis Neighborhood Safety Clubs meets at FRGMNT North Loop from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM on Fridays. Before walking the neighborhood, this friendly group of volunteers clad in bright orange shirts shares information on auto-theft prevention and other safety tips with neighbors, visitors and businesses.
